Popcorn plant gets trampled

In the past few days my popcorn plant has faced an unlikely foe, a dog. While playing a game of friendly ball the dog was too exited and bent the stalk of the plant. I noticed what happened later that day, and propped it back up pointing up at the sky. I hope it was not too late, if it was I bid farewell.
