Measuring Growth

When tracking the growth of a plant you cant always rely on mesuring thr growth in inches alone. You have to take into account the structure of the plant of the whole which usually include the roots, colour of the leaves.

actually it's quite easy to measure the growth. provided the plant is big enough to fit in a bucket, fill the bucket mostly full with water. put plant in upside down. fill with more water to the top. take plant out. see how much water level sinks. measure the difference in water. bearing in mind 1 litre = 1000 cubic centimentres you now have the precise denisty of that plant in ccs - what could be simpler!

laters!
